Hi there! So you think you want to know a little about me. HAHAHA. Alright I'll see what I can do. I am a 25 year old, Utah born and raised, LDS, Male. However before you go applying all the typical Utah Mormon stereotypes there are a few things you should know about me.
First, I did not serve a mission. That's right despite the pressure felt, if you think a 19 year old male in Utah who is LDS doesn't feel pressure of the community, family, probably his girlfriend's family, and maybe even his friends (some of which isn't bad pressure) then are sorely mistaken, I prayed and even prepared (some of you may not have known this) to the point that my mission papers were filled out, then I got the impression and feeling that it wasn't for me, like maybe I wasn't meant to go at that time in my life, so I made the difficult decision not to go. Some of you may think that it was the "easy decision" but I ask you to think about some of the assumed circumstances that go with a LDS male who didn't serve and the questions it could or would raise.
Second, after not serving my mission and about a year later I fell away from the chruch, nothing happened I wasn't offended, I never really stopped believing, I just stopped going to church, paying my tithing, and such. Unfortunately it led to some rather large mistakes in my life that I'm torn about, torn because without them I would not be who I am today but my life would have had significantly less heartache without them. Please do not think that I in anyway regret my mistakes for as I said with out them I would not be who/what I am today, I do however regret the pain whether it be physical, emotional, or mental that I caused to those that I love and especially to my Savior. About four years later I finally came to my senses and committed to return to full activity in the church. That goal was realized early in 2009.
Ok now that we have the two major point out of our way here goes the rest of it. I graduated from Skyline High School in Salt Lake City, Utah in the summer of 2002. I play the Piano, Trumpet and am begining to teach myself, or attempt to anyway, the guitar. I work for IHG (InterContinental Hotels Group) in the Resource Planning department and if you're looking for a job check out our Jobs Page. I enjoy spending time with my Fiancee, spending time with our friends, serving in presidency of the IOTA Chapter of SGC (Sigma Gamma Chi), and playing games. When I return to my college career my chosen field of study is Psychology with a Criminology Certificate, though I have also considered a business minor to make myself more marketable in the event I can't get into the US Marshals service.
That's pretty much all I can think that you might possibly want or need to know. If you have something else you'd like to know just ask.
